    commas or full stops

    Hi

    Could you please check and tell me which should be used. Can you also tell me the reason.

    1. a. Jack is a tall boy, he is also a naughty boy.

    b. Jack is a tall boy. He is also a naughty boy.



    2. a. He has a cat, its name is Kitty.

    b. He has a cat. its name is Kitty.

    You need full stops there. You have two independent clauses with no conjunction between them.
