How can i talk about experiences never lived?

Hi, i would like to know how can I say that experiences never lived also make the person who 'wanted' or 'dreamed' them?

the main idea is to say something like

"I'm also what I never was" or "I'm also who I never was"

but i'm really not sure about this phrase, specially the final word "was"..Also, would be better to use 'what', 'who' or both can be used?

    best regards.

Well, you can dream about something you've never done or imagine something you've never done.

Have you ever dreamed that you were flying? (I have.)

    Perhaps:

    You are what you dream.

    Or:

You can imagine things you've never done, and you can run run run faster than the sun.

I Totally agree with you Tarheel.

But, in a short sentence, saying something like

"I'm also who i never was" makes sence?
A friend also suggested me to use "i'm also who i never could be"

    I consider it self-contradictory.
    I am not a teacher.

No, those don't make sense to me. How can you be who you never were? Imagination, however, is different. In your imagination you can be anybody or anything. And you can go anywhere and do anything.

You can write about things that never were and dream about what they might become.
