It's pretty pretty hard to perform to.

    Hi,
The last preposition "to" makes me confused. What's that for?

If you are, for example giving a public dance performance, then you perform to the music.

    See definition 20 here.

The speaker finds it difficult to dance* to the music she's discussing.

    *or otherwise perform
    I am not a teacher.

Wow, thank you. Does "perform" mean "dance" in my context?

I would say so, as they're talking about getting a party started.

Re: It's pretty pretty hard to perform to.

In both your title and your text, you incorrectly repeated the word "pretty".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

It's pretty hard to perform to it/that song/music etc.

But why don't we use any one of the green ones after "to" in the conversation?

Both of the people talking knew that music was being referred to.

What happens if we use one of the green words? Does this make the sentence wrong?
