    dodgy footage

    Hello everyone,

John Kavanagh, a famous MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter and coach, writes in his book:

"As productions, the first shows couldn’t have been more basic. We put a ring in the middle of the Ringside Club and opened the doors to the punters. We didn’t have proper lighting and there certainly weren’t any TV cameras present, although there is a bit of dodgy footage available on YouTube if you fancy checking out how primitive it all was."

Am I correct in thinking that "dodgy" in "dodgy footage" means "of poor quality"?

    Thank you.

    Re: dodgy footage

I usually read the BrE adjective dodgy as something like "illegitimate", "black-market", or "counterfeit". But in this case I think your interpretation is right.
