    Use of issues

    Hi,

I am writing a technical paper about turbine. The following sentences are first three sentences in abstract of my paper.

Is use of "issues" in the following sentences correct grammatically and conceptually? If it is not , kindly suggest ways to make it clearer.

"Wells turbine is a promising self-rectifying air turbine in field of renewable energy. The difficulties, due to narrow operational range and low efficiency of Wells turbine, are analyzed. To overcome these issues, the effects of blade thickness on the performance of a Wells turbine are presented and discussed."

Your use of "issues" is fine.

Do you mind if I make comments on other things?

I would say 'The following are the first three sentences in the abstract of my paper'.
