How can I put this in correct (American) English?

    Hi all,

It's awesome that this community helps people with their English. Love it!

I have this webshop aimed at the American market and I'm trying to write down a sentence in correct English. The sentence is about a lighter that has a LED light that lights up when you open the lighter (open the top) or when you put the lighter on a USB charger so it is charging. How do you describe this in correct English in a simple and short manner?

    Something like:
''LED indicator (lights up when opening the lighter and when charging)''.

    Is that correct?

    How about the next sentence:
''Comes in a luxury gift box''.

    Thanks in advance!

I'd write lights up when the lighter is opened or charging.

    The second sentence is fine.

Remember to write an LED. The term is pronounced "L-E-D", and the name of the letter L starts with a vowel sound.
    I am not a teacher.

Got it, thank you very much!

When you say 'lighter', you mean a device that produces flame for starting fires, correct? Such as a cigarette lighter pictured below?

If so then, everything's okay, but something makes me feel like we should double-check that's what you mean by 'lighter', and not something more like a flashlight.

I'll be very surprised if there's a cigarette lighter (that runs on gas) that can be placed on a USB charger!
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
