Jack, can you say/name/count the weekdays to/for me?

    Hello,
Suppose that I am a mother and I want to ask my little son to say the weekdays by heart.

Mom: "Jack, can you say/name/count the weekdays to/for me?"

Jack: "Yes, Mom. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc."

I don't know how to say the blue parts. What's the natural way to say the blue parts?

Can you name the days of the week for me?
Can you tell me the days of the week?
    I am not a teacher.

    Why not "weekdays"?

Because the weekdays are from Monday to Friday.

Re: Jack, can you say/name/count the weekdays to/for me?

If you were testing Jack's vocabulary, you might say:

You: Jack, can you tell me the days of the week?
Jack: Yes, of course I can. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
You: Well done. Now, which ones are the weekdays?
Jack: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
You: Wow! You're good at this. So what are Saturday and Sunday?
Jack: The weekend! I love weekends!
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
