    passive & active voice

    Hi dear teacher,
As a native English speaker ,please let me know whether it is correct or normal to use this sentence:
"The psychologist reported that those taken part in the program agreed that their stress levels had began to decrease."
Indeed, it is clear that the sentence should be written in an active voice like this:
"The psychologist reported that those taking part in the program agreed that their stress levels had began to decrease."
Is it impossible to use the sentence in a passive reduced adjective clause form like the first one?
    Thanks for your quick response

That is incorrect. You need 'taking'.

It is impossible to use a passive reduced form in an active sense. You can use it in a passive sense:

Medicine taken after meals works more effectively than medicine taken before meals.

It is neither correct nor normal.
