    as comparison or comparatively

    Hi again,
Is it correct to write" Only half (50.4%) of our students knew people with STDs could have no symptoms in the present study. As comparison to the present study, higher level of awareness (67%) on STDs could be symptom-free was reported among high school students in Germany"
or "Only half (50.4%) of our students knew people with STDs could have no symptoms in the present study. Comparatively, higher level of awareness (67%) on this knowledge was reported among high school students in Germany"
    Which one is acceptable?

    Kind regards

    mektok

    Re: as comparison or comparatively

People don't usually have symptoms in any kind of study, present or otherwise. Write ...of the students in the present study....

Something like this: Only half (50.4%) of the students in the present study knew that people with STDs could have no symptoms.
