    though/as

I was 16 when one morning my father told me I could drive him into a remote village, about 18 miles away, on the condition that I take the car in to be serviced at a nearby garage. Having just learned to drive and hardly ever having the opportunity to use the car, I readily accepted.

1: Having just learned to drive and hardly ever having the opportunity to use the car

    I wonder if "1" means "A", "B", or anything.
A: Though I had just learned to drive and ever had hardly had the opportunity to use car
B: As I had just learned to drive and ever had hardly had the opportunity to use car

    Re: though/as

    No, A and B don't mean anything.
1: Having just learned to drive and hardly ever having had the opportunity to use the car, I readily accepted."
There is a parallelism between "having learned" and "having had".

    Re: though/as

The only thing wrong with B is the word order.

B: As I had just learned to drive and ever had hardly had the opportunity to use car.

"had hardly ever had" makes it perfect.
