    And away goes the bus

    We get on our bus,
    We go and sit down.
    And away goes the bus
    To take us uptown.

    Hi,
The above poem is in an English learning book for kids.

Can we say that "away" means "far" (long distance) in the above context?

Re: And away goes the bus

No. It simply means "The bus leaves".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Re: And away goes the bus

Goes is often used to mean "does", "moves", or "acts", though it's not a direct replacement. Away goes the bus means "the bus moves away quickly".
