    Disappointed in love

Disappointed in love, he decided to commit suicide.

Being disappointed in love, he decided to commit suicide.

    Hi,

Do both of the above sound equally good and mean about the same to you? Thanks,

    Re: Disappointed in love

Suicide is a rather drastic reaction to being disappointed, isn't it?

Thanks, emsr, and yes. But what's your opinion on the question of the first post?

    Re: Disappointed in love

I'd use "Having been disappointed in love, ...".

I find your first suggestion but I don't like the second. I expect "Being disappointed in love" to be followed by something like "is really annoying".
