How can I ask my classmate if she can help me with math?

This situation has been derived from a pragmatics test developed by Liu (2007). What would you say in such a situation?

For the first time this semester, you are taking a mathematics course. You have had a hard time following lectures and understanding the textbook. A test is scheduled to be held next week. You notice that one student sitting next to you seems to have a good background knowledge of math, and is doing well. Since it is the beginning of the semester, you do not know him/her yet. You want to ask him/her to study together for the upcoming test.

    1. Hello, you look very kind, what’s your name? Can we study together?
    2. Can you cooperate with me in the upcoming test? I need your help very much.
    3. I was wondering if we could possibly get together some time to study for the test.

On a first-time meeting and in a formal context like that, I'd go for the last option.

Of those three, I would choose the third. However, I would start by introducing myself!
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

The third works best for the idea, but it does lack an introduction.
