    a name pool composed/consisting of 140 names

    1. The names were chosen from a name pool composed of 140 names, 10 each from the 14 members of the committee.
    2. The names were chosen from a name pool which consisted of 140 names, 10 each from the 14 members of the committee.
    3. The names were chosen from a name pool consisting of 140 names, 10 each from the 14 members of the committee.

    Hi,
Do all of the above sound right and mean about the same? Thanks,

It would be simpler to say 'The names were chosen from a pool of 140, ...#.

They don't sound right, Lewis, because of the repetition of name/s.

Thanks to you both, but the above is my main concern. In this context, are they both right and about the same in meaning? Thanks.

Write "ten from each member of the committee."

Sorry. Now I understand why the forum put my posts from Chrome Beta for Android in moderation: I apparently logged in with a different account I'd forgotten about.
    I am not a teacher.
