    I was afraid

I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural. Is "throw away" the right phrase or should I use a better one?

I was afraid Anna was going to throw me away just as she did with her former boyfriend.

    Re: I was afraid

I wouldn't use it. On the assumption that you mean that she would simply tell you she didn't want to date you any more, I would use "break up with me", "dump me" or "ditch me".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: I was afraid

That works if you live together as a couple. It doesn't work if you're just dating.
