    'Urinate' sounds very clinical. Many people are likely to use 'pee' or perhaps the more vulgar term 'piss'.

    I agree that "urine" and "urinate" are fairly formal terms that most of us would use only with a doctor (and sometimes not even then). I frequently have to warn people who are about to start taking a specific nutritional supplement that "it will turn your wee/pee yellow".
