    If I wanted to go to that branch ...

    My local gym is closing and they suggested that I go to another branch, which is far away. That gym is better, but it is too far away.

    1) If I wanted to go to that branch I would go there instead of here.
    2) If I wanted to go to that branch I would have gone there instead of here.

    Which one would be correct, please?

    The first is correct grammatically, but not appropriate in your situation.

    The second would normally be expressed as "If I'd (I had) wanted to go there, ...".
