It's right in the middle in terms of strength.

Parent: So, the first pig built a straw house, which is the weakest of the houses, while the third pig built a brick house, the strongest of the three.

Child (pointing at the wooden house): How about this?

Parent: Oh, the wooden house? It's right in the middle in terms of strength. It's stronger than the straw house, but not as strong as the brick.

Is there a better way to describe it?
    Not a teacher.

    Sounds good to me.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
