The students and teachers of the High School were watching the play of the Drama Club

    Hello.

Is the following sentence grammatically correct?

"The students and teachers of the high school were watching the play of the drama club."

    Thanks.

Why are "High School" and "Drama Club" capitalized?
    I am not a teacher.

Yes, it's grammatical. "The drama club's play" would be a little more common.
I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.

Americans like to say "put on" thus:

The students and teachers were watching the play put on by the drama club.

    (The original is OK.)

Nikitus, there is a box in the editing function to write the "reason for editing". If you are going to make another post (#2) look meaningless, you should explain why you have edited. Eg. "as per post #2"

I'd agree were it not for the 'as per'.
