    pick or get a banana

When you've got a bunch of bananas (still clustered), can you say "pick one yourself", or would it be better to say "get one yourself"?

    Child: I want a banana.

    Parent:
    1. There's a bunch in the basket. Pick one yourself.
    2. There's a bunch in the basket. Get one yourself.
    Not a teacher.

Get one. You could pick a bunch of bananas if you were in Hawaii.
