Since Anna had seen her husband

I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural. Would you please correct my mistakes? I am not sure if I can use "gnaw at" in this sentence.

Since Anna had seen her husband kissing a woman in the street, it gnawed at her that he might have a secret lover.

Re: Since Anna had seen her husband

You need to look at the tenses. Starting with "Since Anna had seen ..." doesn't lead naturally to "it gnawed ...".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

It depends on whether "since" means "from the time that" or "because".

I wanted to say from the time that Anna had seen her husband kissing a woman in the street.
