The Biggest Bust At Every First-Round Draft Slot

What does "bust" and "draft slot"mean here?

It sounds as if a fault in a production line.

The Biggest Bust At Every First-Round Draft Slot Since 2000

By Will Laws on April 21, 2016
Earlier this NFL offseason, when the top two picks of the upcoming 2016 NFL Draft still belonged to the league's two worst franchises, PointAfter determined the biggest draft bust of the century for every team.

The "draft" in NFL is the process by which teams pick their players for the next season. I'm not familiar enough with the sport to know what a "draft bust" is. We'll need an AmE speaker (or a keen follower of gridiron/American football) to answer this fully.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

The meaning of "slot" there is also a problem for the time being.

Teams pick players to play on their teams (from the amateur ranks in college football) based on an order. This order is determined by the results of the previous year. The Super Bowl champion picks last. The team with the worst record picks first.

The draft in the NFL consists of 7 rounds currently. So each team gets one pick in the first round, from the biggest loser to the Super Bowl champion. Then they get another pick in the second round, picking in the same order.

By "slot" here they are talking about the first round choice for each team.

A "bust" is a player who does not become a star player, or much of a player at all. Many never catch on with a team and are out of the league very soon. When that player is chosen in the first round, given a nice contract, and then doesn't deliver on his promise, it is a "bust."

I've added a bit of punctuation to better reflect (my view of) the status of American college football players.

American sports do seem to be designed to be incomprehensible.

Re: The Biggest Bust At Every First-Round Draft Slot

    Cricket's easy enough to understand:
You have two sides, one out in the field and one in.
Each man that’s in the side that’s in goes out, and when he’s out he comes in and the next man goes in until he’s out.
When they are all out, the side that’s out comes in and the side that’s been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out.
Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in.
There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out.
When both sides have been in and all the men have out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game!
