    if clause

    Hi teacher,

There is task 1 that I have to finish by 5pm tomorrow. If I fail to finish the task It will impact my second task completion. Can I write the above sentence in the following ways?

    1. If I don't finish task 1 by 5pm tomorrow then it will impact task 2 completion

    2. If I didn't finish task 1 by 5pm tomorrow then it will impact task 2 completion

    3. If task 1 is not completed by 5pm tomorrow then it will impact task 2 completion

    Re: if clause

1 and 3 would be okay if they ended with a period.

And #2 would work with would impact, meaning that this is very unlikely to happen.
