You each gets/get a piece of paper

You each ________ a piece of paper to write down the answers.

    A. gets B. get C. got

    Hi,
The above is a stand alone question and the given answer is "get" and I don't know why A and C don't fit in the context. Thanks.

Re: You each gets/get a piece of paper

In that context, "each" means "all" so the plural verb is required.

    You each get ten points.
    You all get ten points.

However, note that it changes when you add a noun after "each/all".

    Each person gets ten points.

C is possible, though, putting the sentence into the simple past.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Re: You each gets/get a piece of paper

It's a terrible question! Without context, "get" or "got" are equally possible.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
