    proved itself

    Are the following sentences correct:
    1. The situation proved itself difficult.
    2. All in all the situation proved itself difficult.
    3. The situation proved itself difficult, so I was faced with a lot of problems.

    Thanks in advance.

    Omit 'itself' in all three.
