Lightbulb what to use instead of .....

Hi. English isn't my first language so I'm sorry for any mistake I may make...

I'm going to talk to somebody tonight. And instead of "I'll talk to you", I want to say something else...
I can't say "see you at night", 'cause I'm not really going to see her... ...I can't say "I'll catch up with you at night", 'cause I'm not gonna talk about what has happened before... ...I'm just going to talk to her virtually...

Could help me? Maybe an idom could help me...

    Thank you...

I often say see you later/tonight/next week even if I'm only expecting to talk to the person or chat with them online.
    I am not a teacher.

    Welcome to the forum.

Note my corrections above. We don't end sentences with a string of dots. We end them with one full stop. Three dots in a row is called an ellipsis and has a specific function. You can Google it to find out how it's used.

Please don't use non-standard abbreviations like "gonna" on the forum. We encourage all users to use standard, correct English. I have left "'cause" because it's so commonly used but don't use it in any formal writing.

I'd probably say "Chat later!" or "Chat tonight!" - these days, that covers both face-to-face conversations and virtual/online conversations.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
