    identation

    Hi!
What is the exact meaning of "identation" in the following passage? I should say it is from a book concerning archeology of Persia. It speaks about the method of forming seals during nearly 15 centuries ago. Note that Sasanian was a Persian dynasty ruling from 224-451 A D.

The vast majority of impression examined are inferior to these three and are of a commoner Sasanian seal style, in which the parts of the design are formed by deeply drilled globular and tabular identations to which a number of linear details are added.

Can it be a misprint for indentation?

    Thanks very much.

    That must be a typo.
"Indentation" is used to describe typography and graphics.
