    How much story.

"I am telling a story to someone and I stop in between because of some work. After completing that work when I come back I forget at what point did I leave my story so what would I say? "How much story did I tell you."

    Please tell.

    Re: How much story.

I'd say something like "Now where did I/we stop", or "Where did I/we leave off?"

If I was reading to kids and wanted to jog their memories, I might say "Do you remember the last thing that happened (in the story)?"

A common way to express this is, "Where was I up to?".

    Re: How much story.

    There are many possibilities.

The simplest might be, 'Where was I?'
    I am not a teacher

    Re: How much story.

Could we also say 'Where were we?', perhaps?

    Please tell me.
    See my corrections above.

I would probably say "Where was I up to?" or "Now, where was I?"

Can we use these sentences for TV series or movies as well? Like "I am following a series recentley. Every day they start the episode from "the point where they leave it off" the day before or "where were they up to" the day before.

"A new episode starts every day from the point "they left it off" or "the episode was up to" the day before".

    Re: How much story.

A new episode continues every day from the previous one.

    Re: How much story.

Daily episodes follow on from the one the day before.
