    Peter mused on the events

I am not sure if my sentence sounds natural. Would you please correct my mistakes?

Peter mused on the events that led to him losing his job, going through a divorce and then becoming an alcoholic.

Re: Peter mused on the events

It needs a comma after divorce. You could lose then without changing the meaning.
