    Re: studied have studied

    Both are possible. For example,

I have studied English for 10 years, and I still don't feel confident speaking it.

I studied English for 10 years, but then I switched to French when I migrated to Canada.

You're welcome Mike12345, but all you need to thank someone on the forum is to click Thank/Like; you don't need to write a separate post.

Mr teechar. I have clicked Thank/Like. But it was useless.

    Re: studied have studied

Try clicking on them on another browser.
    I am not a teacher.

That happens with me sometimes too. My solution is to keep clicking, and after a few seconds, the system relents and registers the Thank or Like.

Are you sure you're clicking on this, in the bottom left-hand corner?

    Thank

    Clicking on this:

    Post Thanks / Like

    doesn't work.

Both are correct, but they have different implications:

    1. I am still studying.
    2. I am no longer studying.
NOT A TEACHER. Translator and editor, and I hold a TESOL certificate. Native speaker of American English (West Coast)

Not necessarily. The present perfect covers up to (but not always including) the present time.
