    passes of film (Vocabulary related to cinematography)

    Hello, friends

    I would be very grateful if you gave me a clue on what "passes of film" is in this context.

    Dialogue: 0,0:36:22.36,0:36:27.04,Default,,0,0,0,,The laser battle at the end of the film\Ninvolved 48 passes of film in the camera.

    Dialogue: 0,0:36:27.12,0:36:30.24,Default,,0,0,0,,48 passes on one piece of negative.
