The President has come to the village

I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural. Would you please correct my mistakes?

The President has come to the village to pay his respects to the victims of the earthquake.

Re: The President has come to the village

If you use the president's name and use the first word as the title, then it would be capitalised.

Last week, the president came to the village ...
Last week, President Smith came to the village ...
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
