    luggage insurance

    Are both sentences correct:
    1. Did you have a luggage insurance?
    2. Were you covered by luggage insurance?

    Neither is natural. Try,
    Did your travel insurance cover lost luggage?

    Note that "insurance" is not countable, so "a" is incorrect in #1.

    Hi teechar,

    that is so typical again. I found sentence number 2 in a textbook of mine and also a bit odd.
    But I'm not a native speaker of course. Thanks again.
