    mediocre

I'm searching for a mediocre hotel.

Is "mediocre" the right word to express that someone's searching for a hotel that is not too expensive but also not too cheap and dirty? I mean clean but with no unnecessary luxury.
Maybe "medium class hotel" would be better?

    Re: mediocre

Mediocre has a negative meaning. I'd simply use 'inexpensive'.

    Re: mediocre

... or you could specify the number of stars if you're in a country/location which uses that rating system.

I'm looking for a one- or two-star hotel.
