    I am not a teacher. I am currently studying basic English grammar.

    As this forum is called 'Ask a Teacher', new members will expect that those who respond here are all teachers. That is why non-teachers are asked to state that they are not teachers if they respond.

    However, those of us who have been around for some time know that we have several non-teachers (including one mod!) who regularly give very helpful and accurate responses.

    You can write We will keep you posted on the (or "its") latest status or ...with the ​(or "its") latest status.
