    Peter is a self-confident man

I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural.

Peter is a self-confident man who always looks people in the eye and never breaks eye contact first.

Re: Peter is a self-confident man

Have you considered using "confident" instead of "self-confident" in that sentence?

Re: Peter is a self-confident man

I thought about if I should use "self-confident," or just "confident," and I chose the first option, but now when you mentioned "confident", I believe I should have writen my sentence like this:

Peter is a confident man who always looks people in the eye and never breaks eye contact first.

Re: Peter is a self-confident man

Your sentence in grammatically correct, but a better flow would be:

Peter is a confident man, always looking people in the eye, and never being the first one to break eye contact.

That is certainly an acceptable alternative, but I would not say that it was 'better'.

"Peter is a confident man. He always looks people in the eye and never breaks eye contact first." (In two sentences.)

    Does this work?
