Question If I got it... usage

    Hi All,

I've a doubt in Grammar, what is the meaning difference in the below sentences?

#1 - If I get it, I will tell you. (conditional simple present)
#2 - If I got it, I will tell you.

I mainly get confused with the #2 sentence.

I can understand the meaning of this sentence, "Once I got it, I will inform you.", this is fine.

    Kindly help me, thank you.

Number 2 is incorrect. So is the sentence you quoted at the end of your post. Only sentence 1 is correct.

That should be Once I've got it, I will tell you.

    Thank you Piscean!

Could you please elaborate the meaning of your below sentence and the difference with "Once I get it, I will you"?

"Once I've got it, I will tell you."

Re: If I got it... usage

There is little significant difference in meaning between the two.
