    General Bagheri is Iranís mastermind

    Hello,

I would appreciate it if you would correct my translation.

    ------------------------------
    General Bagheri is Iran’s mastermind

While Iran is laying its grand strategy step by step, Arabs are only hoping for aids from the West.

Al-Arabi in a report on Iran’s efforts to develop overseas naval bases wrote: Iran is showing its great strategy step by step. Boasting of its extending of Islamic Revolution to Aleppo, Tehran is now eyeing the naval bases. Recently, General Bagheri has said that Iran needs distant bases, and it may become possible one day to have bases on the shores of Yemen or Syria.

In fact, the words of General Bagheri can’t be set aside as rhetoric, because he is the chairman of the Armed Forces’ General Staff and the leader’s adviser.

Al-Arabi continued that General Bagheri is a strategic mastermind and a believer in strong deterrence against foreign threats.

    -----------------------------

    Perhaps:

Boasting of extending the Islamic Revolution to Aleppo, Teheran now has plans for the Syrian naval bases.

    What do you think?

Thank you for proofreading my translation, Tarheel.

Your suggestion seems better than mine. It's more natural.

But I've got a question for you. Is it ungrammatical to put the "of" after extending as follows:

Boasting of extending of the Islamic Revolution to Aleppo, Tehran .................

    Regards,

    Yes, it's wrong.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

I made a suggestion. You did not. You could say:

Your version is better than mine.
