    To "freak out" means to completely be caught off guard in a particular situation. It can also mean to go "crazy" or psychotic.

    Ex: My teacher told me, "try not to freak out, but you've been chosen to speak in front of the entire graduating class!"

    Benjie Carver freaked out after an overdose of LSD.

    I completely freaked out when my sister told me she'd gotten front row concert tickets for us.
