    When John met a guy

I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural.

When John met a guy who had been at school with him more then thirty years ago, they went on a drinking spree until dawn.

Re: When John met a guy

I'd probably call it an "all-night drinking spree" or "all-night pub crawl".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Re: When John met a guy

To me only one night of drinking isn't a "spree."
