    The writer's main criticism

Would you please correct the mistakes in my sentence?

The writer's main criticism of the film made after his novel was that the film director had altered his novel drastically and made it unrecognisable.

    Re: The writer's main criticism

Films based on novels are made from them.

    Re: The writer's main criticism

I would say "the film [version] of his novel".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: The writer's main criticism

The film director did not alter the novel. He deviated from it. Or changed the story.

    Re: The writer's main criticism

Would my sentence be correct if I write it like this:

The writer's main criticism of of the film version of his novel was that the film director deviated drastically from it and made it unrecognisable.
