As I saw a young couple kissing

I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural.

As I saw a young couple kissing passionately in the street, I was reminded of what it had felt like to be in love.

Re: As a saw a young couple kissing

You could remove "had" and you would still have a grammatically correct sentence.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
