    Word "canopy"

I have tried to use the word "canopy" in my sentence. Would you please correct my mistakes?

A couple sat on the grass, kissing and hugging under the canopy of fruit trees in blossom.

    Re: Word "canopy"

I'd probably use "a canopy" there, and perhaps "blossoming fruit trees" but your sentence is fine too.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

I will use "shade" instead of "canopy".

    Re: Word "canopy"

'Shade' is rather less picturesquely romantic than 'canopy'.

See above. You are effectively saying "If I wrote this sentence, I would use "shade" ..."
