    restrict

    Are these sentences OK? If not, please correct me. Thanks.

    1. The difficult situation restricted my options.
    2. My difficult personal situation limited/restricted my scope of action.
    3. My scope of action was restricted due to the difficult personal situation I was in.
    4. My scope of action was restricted due to the difficult personal situation I found myself in.

    Re: restrict

    #1 is OK. I'm not sure about "my scope of action" in the other three.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: restrict

    @emsr2d2. Thanks.
    Let's forget "My scope of action" and replace this phrase.
    What if I express myself in the following way?

    1. My difficult personal situation limited/restricted my options.
    2. My oprtions were restricted due to the difficult personal situation I was in.
    3. My options were restricted due to the difficult personal situation I found myself in.

    These are all possible.
