    Had it not been for John

    I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural.

    Had it not been for John who gave the woman CPR on the spot, she would have probably died.

    You need a comma after 'John'.

    A more natural ending would be '... she would probably have died'.

    I would probably start with "If it had not been for John giving her CPR on the spot, ..."
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
