    force instead of police force

    Hello,

Is correct to say just force instead of police force in the context below?

The police force, we are told, is a small army; criminals are the enemy, orders are to be obeyed no matter how ridiculous, and the team always comes first.

    Thanks in advance!

Re: force instead of police force

You could refer to just "the force" if it has been made clear previously that you are referring to a/the police force, and if there hasn't been so much intervening text that the reader might have forgotten that you'd mentioned a police force.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
