Do I have to write industrial revolution or Industrial Revolution?

I do not know if I have to write the term "industrial revolution" with capital letters or with small letters. Is it true that the names of epochs can be written both with capital letters and with small letters (like middle ages / Middle Ages, industrial revolution / Industrial Revolution)?

Re: Do I have to write industrial revolution or Industrial Revolution?

It depends if you are referring to a specific revolution in industry. There have been many industrial revolutions (not capitalised) across the globe. At school, for British history, we studied the Industrial Revolution, which occurred from about 1760 to somewhere between 1820 and 1840.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Thank you - so the Industrial Revolution (with capital letters) is the mother of all industrial revolutions.

Re: Do I have to write industrial revolution or Industrial Revolution?

No. I didn't say that. It's the name used in Britain for the specific industrial revolution that happened in Britain during those decades. There have certainly been other industrial revolutions in other places in the world before (and since) that date.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
