    Search options

I try to make a search but I cannot. I write "what" in the search box and then click on "search" nothing appears.

    How can I do it?

    Thank you.

    Re: Search options

Searching for "what" is pointless. You need to search for actual terms that might be the titles of other threads. When I searched for "what", I got four greyed-out hits. However, when I searched for "present perfect", I got 64,000 hits, many of which are from this forum. Try searching for something more relevant. If you still get nothing at all, post a screenshot of the results page.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Press Ctrl F5 to refresh the page first. You will get a lot of results for what.

    Re: Search options

Is that a Windows instruction? I just hit Ctrl F5 on my Macbook and it did nothing. I tried Cmd F5 and it switched on the VoiceOver function (which it's taken me a while to switch off!)

I have used F5 or CTRL+F5 but I had nothing different.

    Thank you.

    Re: Search options

I thought another way. If you search the word in quoation marks it works but I don't know whether this method gives overall results or some of them.

    Thank you.

It is a Windows instruction, which forces a refresh/reload, and also works in Linux. A search suggested that Shift-Command-R would work in Apple. I can't vouch for this, but give it a whirl and let us know. I apologise for my Apple ignorance.

    Re: Search options

That does indeed refresh the page but then so does just pressing the "reload" icon next to the address bar (and that's much quicker!) It doesn't make any difference to my search results though.

    Re: Search options

Search option work correctly in Internet Explorer but it seems it doesn't work in Mozilla Firefox. What would be the reason of?

    Thank you.
