    In his young years

I am wondering if my sentences sound natural.

In his young years, Clive was a salesman. He went from door to door and pitched vacuum cleaners and other kitchen appliances.

    Re: In his young years

To me, 'In his young years' means 'When he was a child'.

I would use 'in his younger years'.

    Re: In his young years

I would omit "from" in that sentence.
