    stayed into November

    Dear friends,

"And the bears are staying on land longer — this year they arrived in August and stayed into November — remaining an average of 56 days compared with an average of 20 days two decades ago."

The phrase "stayed into November" means they were there in November or they had left when November started?

    Thanks

    Re: stayed into November

It means they had not left in November. They were there for some of the month of November.
